Helping you navigate complexity with confidence

We help organizations embrace a culture of learning by designing safer spaces for self-reflection & giving teams the tools to host courageous conversations with compassion and care.

We’ve designed learning experiences for

A fresh approach to (un)learning

Your teams are navigating more complexity and uncertainty than ever before. The way through this isn’t more definitions or checklists; it's about connecting with yourself and your team.

Conventional approaches to DEI training do not always make room for community building, developing an understanding of systems, and giving people the tools to have compassionate, courageous conversations.

Our approach fosters curiosity and collaboration by centring empathy building and self-reflection and encourages participants to work together to apply ideas to their context.

In today’s workplace, our leadership must be intentional, inclusive, & rooted in reflection and care for others and yourself. This leadership work is for everyone from intern to executive.

Join us on January 25th at 4pm EST to connect with other people leaders navigating this work & learn more about approaches to building a culture of care in 2024.

We will reflect on the following questions:

  • As a people leader, what keeps you up at night?

  • What are the biggest challenges facing your teams when it comes to building a culture of learning and curiosity?

  • How are you holding space for conversations on your teams? What is working well?

  • What are you doing to prioritize and support the well-being of your team members?

Nuts & Bolts ⚒️

Nuts & Bolts ⚒️

Based on your desired outcomes, capacity, and budget, we create a session that centers the needs of your participants, gives them the space to unpack their challenges, and leaves them with tangible takeaways.

In a three-hour in-person experience or two-hour virtual experience, we lead participants through three modules that work together to create a custom How 2 Ally program that is relevant to your work.

  • How are our emotions impacting our leadership? What power do we carry?

  • What forces impact our context, and how do we navigate them?

  • Unpacking our Allyship within relationships or systems.

We will work with you to prepare a case study that is relevant to the experiences of participants.

Adaptive to your context, people, and needs

We work with you to define the biggest challenges you want to focus on to make this workshop relevant and actionable.

This could look like your participants walking away with tools to support:

  • Managing intergenerational teams

  • Harnessing insights from a diversity of lived experiences

  • Making space for contribution from different learning styles

  • Navigating your personal and professional advocacy

  • Taking a stand on human rights within your industry

Our process will help your group define what mindsets and tangible actions might look like within your industry, community ecosystem, or team.

This program is designed to center allyship within your context, to ensure that your community feels confident in taking meaningful action.

Dive Deeper with us: Our guiding principles for learning & unlearning

  • Allyship is head and heart work, which requires each individual to check in on the emotions emerging within them and around them. We provide practical tools to name and manage your own reactions. Our facilitators model what it means to activate and name emotion, they share their own journeys with allyship practice and the mistakes they've made along the way.

  • Allyship requires an understanding of social systems and the cultural norms that cause and reinforce systemic inequity and harm across our community. We make these concepts approachable and reflective, helping participants identify these cultural traits within themselves, others, and the roles they inhabit.

  • Allyship can feel overwhelming, and hard to define. We help integrate your conference learnings and industry challenges by sharing relevant case studies and examples for discussion. Using our frameworks, we can unpack real-time issues affecting your attendees and provide practical tools to manage difficult conversations with a colleague or leader and identify actions that complement one's role or expertise.

  • Allyship is a long-game; and we are stronger when we work together. Our OCP Braindate platform is a unique sanctuary outside of work and industry silos —a safer and braver space for problem-solving, practicing, and sharing experiences. We provide all participants with access to the platform for up to 1 year.

Ask us about these additional services:

  • Train-the-Trainer Programs

Our team can work closely with a smaller group of leaders on your team to train them to facilitate huddles and case studies using our How to Ally playbook.

This enables you to offer both hybrid virtual and in-person experiences and leaves you with the tools to keep this work going internally.

  • Asynchronous Learning Supports

We can design a virtual learning experience for your conference attendees to complete prior to your gathering to ensure people have a similar base-line understanding of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

  • Event Design & Community Engagement

Harness our On Canada Project Media arm’s national reach and connect with a community of 197k Canadians to attract diverse audiences to your events and programs. Our team can help you reach and intentionally program for BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+ folk, Gen Z & Millennial audiences.
